What is the cheapest way/route to get from the UK to Bali?

I am trying to book a holiday to Bali (any area really) for me and my boyfriend in October for two weeks. Only problem is we have a budget of £1200 for the both of us for flights and accommodation. The accommodation is not a problem, there seems to be lots of nice and cheap hotels (although recommendations still welcomed). But the flights are the problem. We were thinking if we could get from the UK to another asian country and then get a cheap budget airline from there to Denpasar in Bali then it would be cheaper... but does anyone know which route would be cheapest?? Or even a site where i can go straight to Bali for cheap??

Any answers would be of great help. Thanks :)

Answer :
try gulf air, emirates, ethiad to kul or bangkok or sin and then air asia or tiger airways or jet star asia for further on.
You can visit this site for Free coupon codes,Free Discount Coupons,Free Vouchers,Free Nights on Airlines and Hotels

Travel questions about Bali?

Hi. I plan to have a vacation in Bali in April. I have a couple of questions. I hope anyone with experience can help me.

1. Which area is good for peace, quiet and relaxation with a good, uncongested strip of beach with not too much partying?

2.What's a reasonably priced resort to stay in? Hopefully with direct access to the beach.

3.How much should I expect to spend per day on food, transportation, sight seeing, a few drinks (budget tours). No shopping.

4. Any norms or no nos I should know about especially when it comes to clothing and etiquette?

5. Can I fly directly to Denpasar from an international inbound destination or do I have to pass by Jakarta?

6. How do I book flights from Jakarta to Denpasar if I'm not based in Indonesia? Online right although I want to get the best rates possible. How much is the average? Do resorts arrange airport transfers?

7. Do I really need the VOA?

I know these are a lot, sorry :). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Answer :
1. Area for peace, quiet and relaxation and beach are two different locations. Ubud, up in the mountains, would be good place for a quiet relaxation and meditation. Nusa Dua, a high end resort area, is much quiter than others and has a bunch of hotels with direct access to the beach. Laguna, Westin and Nusa Dua Beach Hotel share one section of a (kinda) private beach.
2. Depends on your budget, length of stay and if package is available for your country of residence. Some resorts have special price for travellers from certain regions.
3. Taxis aren't too expensive but if you use public transportation (didn't really see much though), it should be negligible. Another option is to rent a scooter or a bicycle.
4. Not much, experience for yourself
5. Depends on where you are located. Check with as many airlines and travel agents as you can.
6. You can book tickets online. Air Asia is one of the budget airlines operating in that region.

Answer :
Further to your question, i try to clarify as follows:
1. The best are for quite, peace, relaxation and un-congested strip of beach with no much of partying is Ubud and Candidasa. If you like stay away from beach, Ubud is suitable to stay but if you like the beach then Candidasa is perfect to stay.
2. you may check it out the price range hotels in both area above as follows:
- Ubud: http://www.balistarisland.com/Bali-Hotel…
- Candidasa: http://www.balistarisland.com/Bali-Hotel…

3. How much should you expect to spend per day on:
- Food: Starting from USD 40 net/person
- Transportation: starting from USD 50 net/car
- Sightseeing: starting from USD 35 net/person
- drinks: it is depend on drink you consume

4. In regard to the norm or etiquette of Bali, it better you check it out at: http://www.balistarisland.com/Bali-Infor…

5. Yes, you can fly to Bali from International inbound due to Bali is completed by International Airport
6. You may check it out the domestic airline like Airasia, Mandala, Garuda and Lion Air. if you got the difficulty to book, may be you can tray to send the email to the local travel agency in Bali who sell the domestic flight at: tiket@balidwipatours.com

7. VOA, is depend on which passport citizen are you coming? so please have a look the citizen who get the VOA facilities and free visa at: http://www.balistarisland.com/Bali-Infor…

hope it could help you

Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta?

I'll be arriving at Jakarta airport via Philippine Airlines and I have a connecting flight to Denpasar, Bali via Air Asia. Are these two airlines in the same terminal or do I have to transfer? How easy is it to get to my domestic flight (Air Asia) from my international flight (Philippine Airlines)?

I have an seven-hour layover. Can I go out of the airport to explore a bit? Is there anything to see close to the airport? Or is it better for me to stay in the airport? Are there things to do? I know I don't need a Visitor on Arrival visa. Assuming I'll have bags, is there depository/storage service in the airport short-term?

Do you have feedback on Kinds Villa Bintang, Nusa Dua? I heard the resort itself is good but the beach is not so nice. Thank you.

Answer :
1. International and domestic terminals are different and the whole airport is huge. I suppose you will need to ride the airport bus to transfer you to the other terminals. However, to ensure, just ask the nearest public information booth. International arrival is at Terminal 2, and domestic departure of Air Asia (if I'm not mistaken) is at Terminal 3.

2. Do not go out of the airport if you 'only' have 7 hours of transit. Soekarno-Hatta Int'l Airport is built quite far from the city center to avoid high rise buildings. You can explore the terminal lobby where there must be several restaurants and also internet cafe.

3. Not sure about the storage service because I always prefer to carry my bags everywhere.

My suggestion is, as soon as you arrive, directly seek the public information booth to find out where shall you go to check in for the Air Asia domestic ticket. Find out where you could ride a free bus transfer. After you reach the terminal where Air Asia is operating, look for the check-in counter to know that you're in the correct place. Then you could explore the surrounding lobby. Usually after the check-in counter, there are also some interesting stores inside the airport. Do check in at least 1.5 to 2 hours before the departure time.

You can check this worldtravelguide.net/airport, but I don't think the information is updated. Currently the airport has 3 terminals, instead of 2.

Thank you for visiting Indonesia.

Answer :
i believe you have nothing to explore in Jakarta

you will disembark to Terminal 2.
As you will have flight in the next 7 hours, it is unlikely for you to check in as soon as you arrive, since the check in counter is opened 2 hours before departure and being closed 1 hour before. AirAsia is located in newly built Terminal 3. You can use shuttle bus to reach T3 for free charge (it comes every 15 minutes), otherwise you can use taxi in case you cannot find the shuttle bus.

Villa Bintang is very close to Bali Airport.

How much should I pay for a taxi in Bali Indonesia from Denpasar airport to kuta which is about 7min or 3.4 km?

How much should I pay for a taxi in Bali Indonesia from Denpasar airport to Kuta which is about 7min or 3.4 km

Answer :
Standard taxi fee from the airport to Kuta is 45,000 Rp Legian 50,000 and Seminyak 60,000.
The taxi scene is weird there. As you exit the building there is a kiosk on the immediate right that you book your taxi with. Wandering out into the parking lot and through the airport gates will save you about half the fare. That being said. your first taxi is going to be the most expensive taxi that you take. Once situated you can move around in Bemos, or taxis for a lot less money and renting a motor bike is cheap and easy. Bemo drivers are notorious at overcharging tourists. The best way to do this is to watch what the locals pay and to have the correct change and just hand the driver the same amount. or... ask a local you trust what you should pay. just part of the game man. Have fun.
I do a Bali cheat sheet if you want some local info. its free of course and not a commercial thing. Just email me and I will send it along.

Have fun.

Answer :
You are going to pay more for this than anywhere else on Bali, mainly because the taxi drivers wait there alot of the day and theres alot of competition between them. I think i paid like 60,000R which is like 7USD

Should we muslims not accept our faults ? Why cant we take healthy criticism?

Why muslims do not accept constructive critisism?

Here are just some statistics on recent Muslim achievements and they "expect not criticism":

Muslims murdered some 3,000 innocent peoples in New York on September 11, 2001, and..... Expect no criticism!

Muslims murder 202 tourists in Bali, and........... Expect no criticism!

Muslims murder 333 school children and their teachers in Beslan, and.........Expect no criticism!

Muslims murder 292 innocents, mainly Kenyans and Tanzanians at two US Embassies, .......And expect no criticism!

Muslims murder 241 US and 58 French peacekeepers in Beirut, and..... Expect no criticism!

Muslims fire 4,000 Katyusha/Stinger rockets into Northern Israel killing over 50 innocent civilians, and............ Expect no criticism!

Muslims murder 52 commuters in London and 191 in Madrid, and..... Expect no criticism!

Muslims murder some 200 people in Mumbai, and......... Expect no criticism!

Muslims behead Western hostages in Iraq, Buddhist monks in Thailand and Christian schoolgirls in Indonesia, and............. Expect no Criticism!

Muslim genocide in Sudan has claimed over 3 million lives since mid-1980; they massacred nearly 500,000 in Darfur since 2004, and........... Expect no criticism!

Muslims regard Jews as 'sons of pigs and monkeys', and vow to nuke Israel out of existence, and.......... Expect no criticism!

Muslims force women to wear hideous conical sacks, stone to death for getting raped and for leaving their homes unescorted, engage in honor-killing of sisters and daughters for unapproved dating/marriages, and...... Expect no criticism!

Muslims danced in the streets and handed out sweets to their kids to celebrate the 9/11 atrocity, and......... Expect no Criticism!

Since 9/11, Muslims have killed over 26,000 and wounded over 150,000 in terrorist attacks worldwide, and............ Still Expect no Criticism!

Since 9/11 Muslims have committed terrorist attacks in Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Chad, Chechnya, Dagestan, Denmark, East Timor, Egypt, England, Eritrea, Ethiopia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ingushetia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Jordan-Iraq, Kabardino-Balkans, Kenya, Kosovo, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Gaza-Palestinian Authority, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Somalia, Spain, Sri Lanka , Sudan , Syria , Tajikistan, Thailand , Tunisia , Turkey , United Arab Emirates, United Arab Republic , United States , Uzbekistan and Yemen, and............ STILL Expect No Criticism!

Muslims have carried out over 13,000 fatal terrorist atrocities and damages to public and private buildings/vehicles since 9/11, and countless millions since the Islamic conquest began from 623 AD; and still they Expect No Criticism!

But if the Pope dares to tell the truth about Islam's history, or a Danish Newspaper publish cartoons of Mohammed, they let the outpourings of Islamic rage, and.......... Expect no criticism!

And, by some twisted reach of logics, these arrogant vandals demand apology from the Pope, and.......... Expect no criticism!

Answer :
Muslims are engaged in criticising other religion, and they do not try to see the loop holes in islam.

See the quetions asked by Clone Crimson eye vampire, who is destroying the harmony which was just established after the chaos of some previous days.

Answer :
Muslims are people and not above criticism - all right minded muslims (or atheists, christians, buddhists, etc) can and should accept that others will criticize them.

The one criticism I will level at muslims though is they will not accept criticism of Islam - which is where the real problem is.

Answer :
Until the Muslim faith can live with itself in peace and harmony then they will never live in the world with others in a peaceful manner.
When all you have is forced ideals then you can never have peaceful relations and you must expect hatred and criticism of your religion.
I am a Christian and i am often brought up of my Religions history.
I remind them my Leader is not the Church but JESUS CHRIST.

Answer :
I have always thought that it would be best for:
+ Mainstream Catholics to reign in radical Catholics
+ Mainstream Protestants to reign in radical Protestants
+ Mainstream Jews to reign in radical Jews
+ Mainstream Muslims to reign in radical Muslims

Answer :
So if a fellow Canadian killed someone, am I then at fault for simply being Canadian, although I have no link to this person? If someone of my race carried out genocide, am I at fault? You're obviously not Muslim and your post is quite ignorant.

Answer :
,not only should Muslims accept, criticism & fault for what they have done(the ones that has done such heinous, evil & wicked things), but we all must accept the same, for if we have broken one of these commands, we have broken them all, one sin is no greater than the next, so I would summit to everyone please be careful & don't think more highly of ourselves than we ought! I understand that the Muslims beliefs somewhat differ from mine, so I speak from my beliefs & my beliefs says he who is without sin, cast the 1st stone! I don't condone a lot of things the muslims has done, as a matter of record I would say I don't condone 99.9% of what they have done, but our hands are not clean either, so let's all get off of high horse & instead of pointing fingers lets try to see if we can come together for the common good for humanity & peace on earth, because when it's all said and done we all have the same creator GOD of Abraham,Issac & Jacob.......God Bless!

Answer :
What about the ugly sound of the screaming mullah - especially now they use the stupid loud-speaker (in spite this being non-halal).

Regulate these idiotic mullahs to announce islamic call-to-prayer (adan) in a low decibel (sound). This way religion is respected at the same time disrespect and torture is not done to the non-mulsims in the name of Islam.

but then again this kind of finer things will not penetrate through the imbecilic muslim mullahs because islam thrives on ignorance and arrogance. If they could have put the "insensitivity to non-muslims", "ignorance" and "arrogance" aside in true sense (not just by making a hypo-critic political statement or show), perhaps islam would have gotten a little more respect.

But now the muslims have the 'who-cares' mentality - as if as long as they can shove islam down the throat of everyone, they feel they sense of supremacy is well satisfied, in fact they are just harking their cause by being accepted as insensitive, backward and bullies to the others. but then again, the word "sensitivity" does not exist in Islam.

These Muslims misuse the rights given to them.

Answer :
if muslim's are killing people without any reason than he is no more a muslim
islam never teache's terrorism

dont start fight first:A
Allah says in the Qur'an what means:
"Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities.Lo! Allah loves not, aggressors." (Al-Baqarah 2:190)

Allah swt also says ' if you kill a human being is like killing the whole of mankind, and if you save a human being is like saving the whole of mankind' subhanalah

why media and people give so much hype and sympathy if any non-muslim is killed why they dont open ther eye's for innocent muslim's killed in lakh's daily by non-muslim's in afganistan, lebnon, iran and now isreal becouse of petrol

please dont judge islam by seeing bbc and cnn

ok i want to ask question
to atheist
what science has done for society
many good thing
but even many bad thing's like nucelar, tecnology increases porning ect
i will like to ask christain

u are the worst one
one of the leader in india
killed the pregnant women in such an horrible way cannot discuss
but rather hiding it he proclaim what he did on nation channel

Answer :
To which they will respond that everything you have listed is about the followers of islam and not islam itself. They will claim that the actions are not islamic and that the perpetrators aren't muslims. Basically, it's the same old denial that religious beliefs do any harm; anything negative comes from misinterpretation of the tenets of the faith in question. Or we can put it more succinctly: it's a cop out answer.

Is my Ralph Lauren polo tee authentic/fake?

Hi all, I just got back from Bali 2 days ago. I bought A LOT of stuff there, including a Ralph Lauren polo tee. However, when I got home, I read online that Bali has loads of fake RL stuff! I'm totally confused, and I hope you guys can help. Here are some details:

1. I bought it from Matahari Department Store in the Kuta area (department stores are supposed to sell real stuff, right?!)

2. It's black in color, with the big pony in front and number "9" on the side; both are in gold.

3. The tag at the collar says "Polo by Ralph Lauren", and the lower tag (the one with the care instructions) says it's made in Indonesia.

4. The buttons are white in color and say "POLO RALPH LAUREN"

Is there any way to tell if my tee is authentic? Any help at all will be much appreciated! THANKS! =)

Answer :
Though I am not any specialist in Ralph Lauren particularly, but I have had experience with fakes in department store - and that's in Canada. Let alone, Bali, which you said already has a bad reputation of selling knock-offs. I was tricked into believing I was buying an brand name hoodie, in a department store before I realized it was a fake. Cant bear myself to wear it... Try yours on. Does it feel like the same fit you get from the real ones? Not saying that the real ones aren't made in China as well... but the brand itself is who have reputations to uphold. Anyway... when I did look at the Ralph Lauren site, they did have a 3, and not a 9. (http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index…

Answer :
The big nine leads me to believe its counterfeit.
it should say ''3'' instead.
Its fake!

About DE Holidays 5

Which hotel you liked most in the world ? why ? You can mention more that one .?

For me the best one was Hotel Copthorne, Queeenstown , New Zealand , it is located as such unique place that all cynic beauty of this lovely place queenstown can be seen in one go. Of course other factors like hospitality etc are great. Quite tough to choose between Copthorne and Hotel Grand Hyatt Bali , Indonesia ! But Grand Hyatt Bali is more like a beach resort but I enjoyed my stay like anything. I also like Hotel Oberio New Delhi , just because of overall comfort factor. What are your choices ?

Answer :
There's so many, all for different reasons! As far as brands of hotels, I LOVE the Loews Hotels, W Hotels, Waldorf=Astoria Collection, and Ritz Carlton brands. I also really like may of the hotels not associated with these brands in Las Vegas.

Answer :
Based on my traveling experience Motor Lodge Cabrillo in San Diego was a great motel, because it was inexpensive and quiet at the same time.
